VBiRemote supports Norpak PCI receiver cards installed in a regular PC or in Norpak's CHS816 chassis. It provides ports to receive the VBI (and in the near term MPEG2) data. For example, captioning data may be received as raw, field marked data or in a decoded, human readable, format. NABTS and captioning (Line 21) data include interactive TV (ATVEF) triggers, eXtended Data Services (XDS), Program Rating/ Vchip, time of day, electronic program guides (EPGs), media research information, internet content and broadcast data, program and network information.

To process even larger numbers of channels multiple chassis can be combined. For example, through use of VbiRemote middleware WHAZ-it software can handle up to 64 channels by using up to 4 CHS816 chassis in parallel monitoring up to 64 channels with any combination of incoming signals.

Cable and satellite companies that receive multiple channels in multiple formats and further distribute these signals by various transport configurations are ideal integrators of the CHS816 chassis and its receiving, monitoring, encoding and bridging applications. An example is the bridging of multiple input TV signals of different formats - analog (TTX 83X, TTX870 receivers), SD-SDI (TTX870 receiver), HD-SDI with LAN output to an MPEG-2 encoder.

The CHS816 also allows for the reception of multiple data over television feeds (up to 64) for redirection to one or more multi-image display systems.
