TDG9 TVData Groomer HD

Undesirable Caption Language and Trigger Filtering

Overview The TDG9 TVData Groomer HD provides control over the VANC content of a SMPTE 292 (HD) or SMPTE 259 (SD) signal. It allows for the removal of triggers and other unwanted content hidden in the VANC. It corrects CEA-708 & SMPTE 334 format errors.

The TDG9 understands all the captioning data in the VANC. By breaking the VANC caption data content down into its constituent streams, the TDG9 can pass, block, and/or filter each stream individually. It can block, filter, or pass both the CEA-708 native caption streams and the embedded CEA-608 data streams and allows for the removal and replacement of undesirable language.

In the extended data services (XDS) stream a filter passes or blocks individual XDS records.

TDG9 is also a full monitoring solution. It logs the text of all caption streams to files and logs all changes that it makes. It keeps logs for a selectable length of time and makes them available for display and upload through the browser interface.

Available in single and double path models, the TDG9 is packaged in 1RU enclosure for ease of installation. Bypass protection is standard.

Take control of the VANC data in your signal. You decide what content should and should not be present and ensure that caption language is appropriate.

Control the data in your signal.
