| TVData Groomer provides control over the content in line 21 of the vertical blanking interval (VBI) of a video signal.
Data such as Captions, VChip, Station ID, and TSID can be automatically monitored, removed, and replaced in real-time. Changes are visually displayed within the software interface. Log files containing all changes are produced for reporting purposes.
TVData Groomer breaks line 21 data content down into its constituent streams and provides control of each, based on user defined filters.
Filters remove or replace content from a caption stream allowing undesirable language replacement and interactive trigger removal. In the extended data services (XDS) stream a filter passes or blocks individual XDS records such as VChip or Station ID.
TVData Groomer provides setup and monitoring/ filtering capabilities and is designed to work with the TES3 Multi-standard TV Data Encoder for analog TV signals and the TES5 Serial Digital Multi-standard TV Data Encoder for SDI signals.
TVData Groomer can simultaneously monitor and filter up to 16 video signals.
Up to five additional monitor only computers/ locations are also supported using TV Data Monitor software.
Networks and channel operators can scrutinize and modify TV signals at ingest or prior to play-out to ensure captions and other VBI data are present and as desired.
Post-production houses and distributors can make regionalization or repurposing changes to captions and XDS records based on the intended market's needs, prior to delivery.
