The TTX83x PC Card TV Data Broadcast Receiver family is the ideal solution for information broadcasters and system integrators wishing to provide the added value of TV data reception in their applications. Service providers are assured of flexible, reliable and secure service with the administrative control, encryption and subscription management capabilities of the TTX83x family. Broadcasters are now able to verify that mandatory regulatory content such as closed captioning and program rating information is being carried.
The TTX83x is a Plug & Play, industry standard PCI card. The PCI bus takes full advantage of today's high-power microprocessors to deliver extremely high-speed data transfers. The TTX83x decodes the raw data stream onboard and provides the formatted NABTS, WST or EIA608 data to the PC for application processing. Multiple TV signals may be handled in one PC dependent only on the number of PCI card slots available.
PC software may be provided by Norpak or developed by the customer. The TTX83x can simultaneously receive multiple data streams with an aggregate speed up to 230 Kbps for standard applications. In the case of custom applications, the receive speed is limited only by the ability of the PC application to handle the data. System integrators and OEMs are encouraged to take advantage of the many features of the TTX83x family and investigate custom applications with Norpak Corporation.

The features:
 Speed: Supports data streams from 0 to 230 Kbps with the capability of monitoring the VBI for NABTS, WST or EAI608 (captioning, XDS, VChip, ATVEF) compliant data.
Low Processor Overhead: On board hardware decoding and the PCI bus architecture ensure that the load on the PC processor is minimal.
NABTS and WST Standards: The TTX83x is fully compliant with the open EIA516 (NABTS) standard for TV data broadcast as well as the European WST IDLA and IDLB formats.
Closed Captioning, Program Rating and XDS: The TTX83x is fully compliant with EIA608 and can be used to extract this important information for monitoring and filtering applications.
Interactive TV/ ATVEF: The TTX83x can extract both ATVEF Type A and Type B web triggers and transport data ensuring the proper data is being carried for interactive services.
Error Correction: A variety of error correction, data formatting and addressing schemes may be used including Norpak's industry standard Forward Error Correction (FEC) code.
Addressability: Each TTX83x has a unique serial number for use in applications requiring subscription control and security, enabling data to be sent securely to individual sites.
Plug & Play: Self configuring with support for multiple cards.
Multiple Data Streams: Receives multiple data streams each representing unique applications, services or organizations.
Full Software Control and Configuration: Software configurable with no jumpers or switches required.
Onboard Tuner: The standard TTX83x includes an onboard VHF/ UHF/ Cable TV tuner that allows a RF feed from antenna or cable system to be connected directly to the receiver. Channel tuning is controlled via software |
