Now with version 2 software which builds upon the already powerful TES9 VANC Processor by adding multi-language captioning support and automatic data module configuration.
Aimed at broadcasters, cable operators, satellite operators, and other content delivery companies, the TES9 is Norpak Corporation's third generation HD-SDI VANC processor.
The TES9 is suited for applications such as:
Metadata processing
Closed-Captioning
Broadcast Flag control
Interactive TV data carriage
Its highly versatile dual-video-path architecture makes possible advanced TV data control functions such as:
Encoding
Inserting
Receiving
Bridging
Multiplexing
Each of two independent signal paths can be configured for HD-SDI (SMPTE 292M) or SDI (SMPTE 259M) video. Data can be moved into or out of the vertical ancillary (VANC) space of the video signal.
The TES9 combines power, versatility, and reliability into a 1RU standard 19 inch rack-mountable chassis. |

Available in single and dual channel models, the TES9 provides unrivaled flexibility and features:
SDI VANC and HD-SDI VANC processing
SMPTE 334 VANC data encoding/decoding on both HD-SDI and SD video:
- HD 1080 or 720 line, frame rates of 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94, and 60 Hz
- SD 525/29.94 and 625/25 formats
Multiple packets per line maximizing throughput (e.g. captioning and metadata on one line)
Multiple-line VANC encoding/insertion at multi-megabit rates
Ability to locate incoming VANC packets by DID/ SDID, regardless of their line number
Ability to add packets to those in a line, or replace them
Capacity to add packets in a line without delaying the packets that are already present (most encoders have to decode and re-insert one frame later)
Deletion of specified packets and/or lines
Capability to specify the insertion order of packets (effectively determines priority where inserted packets and incoming packets do not fit within a specified line)
Support for very high-speed streams, by inserting multiple packets with the same DID/ SDID combination per line
Simultaneous use for data input or output of LAN, RS232, and modem
API compatibility with applications developed on the Norpak TES3/ 5/ 7 platforms
Field loadable firmware modules to support a broad range of present and future applications
Bypass relay protection on each video path |
