TES5

Multi-standard Serial Digital Video VBI Processor

Overview Evolving from the popular analog TES3 Platform, the TES5 is a highly flexible digital video platform which carries out encoding, insertion, reception, bridging and multiplexing of data in the vertical blanking interval (VBI) and active video of any component serial digital television signal. It can operate in any country's television and AC power standards, and encode and insert data in many VBI formats, making this the first world-capable digital VBI platform.

Features The TES5 combines the four components necessary for VBI data transmission into one unit:

Encoding: Many VBI data formats (NABTS, WST, AMOL, Line 21 Captioning, CGMS, Gemstar, proprietary) can be encoded, simultaneously.

Insertion: The TES5 will insert the encoded data formats on any combination of video lines in any 270 Mbit per second, 525 or 625 Line, component serial digital video signal.

Communications: Four data ports, modem or LAN and VBI serial digital and analog data decoders can be used for data input and output.

Processing: The heart of the TES5 is an Intel based computer with FLASH disk. Data formatting is handled by the unit and loaded software modules.
